Conclusion

Today in class we did a lab using cornstarch. The point of the lab was to show how the mantle works. The cornstarch made the water thick and gooey. It also had plasticity. It was both a solid and a liquid. It was a solid when you put pressure on it just how the core puts pressure on the mantle. Its a liquid when you let go because it makes it all watery. When you push on it with your finger going fast it does not do anything and when you push slowly it goes in right away. This was by far the best lab we ever did, also the coolest.

October sky

During the movie October sky It was a very encouraging movie. It was about a boy that grew up in a mining town and him and his three friends built a rocket and won a science fair. they got full scholarships. Homer had to go through a lot of ruff times such as his parents not agreeing with him and the cops. His friends on the other hand his friends were really caring and helped him with all of his bad times. But at the end his dad was caring for him cause he drove a rocket all the way to a different state. This was connected to science because homer wanted to go to space and fly/ build rocket ships. October sky was a very good movie and taught a lot of lessons. Such as not to give up and always follow your dreams.

Klinefelter syndrome

Klinefelter syndrome

Klinefelter syndrome is a disease that is very serious. The symptoms are that you have no hair at all, you get big breasts, you are really tall, and everything is smaller than usual. The complications are H.D.H.D, depression, dyslexia, and lung diseases. Klinefelter syndrome was discovered in the 1990's. The only treatments for this disease is testosterone therapy and that most of the time does not work cause the disease is so powerful and takes over the body. only 40 percent with Klinefelter syndrome survive the fatal period. So that means that 60 percent die during the fatal period. This Disease is not really that common only 1 out of 1000 males get Klinefelter syndrome. This is a very sad thing that happens to many people and our world really needes a cure for Klinefelter syndrome.

buliding roller coasters

I think building the roller coasters was so far the most creative and fun thing we have done all year in science class. the best part about it is that the omega money. you actually have to but the parts for your roller coaster. it also when you get rewarded omega money it feels good. it fells like your doing really good and the teacher is proud of you during that time period. every day i look forward to science class because we are always doing something fun and enjoyable.

stem cell diccovery.

Researchers have found a way to prompt bone marrow to release a flood of certain stem cells which could help heart attack patients recover faster. The technique could also be adapted to speed up the repair of broken bones and to treat patients suffering autoimmune diseases including rheumatoid arthritis. The discovery was made by scientists at Imperial College London. this is very good, it will save many people from suffering in pain for a long period of time. this will also help people when they break bones because they we be recovered faster. this is a very useful discovery and the people who discovered it should get a lot of credit.

inaugural obama

"Tonight we celebrate, but tomorrow the work begins," Obama told troops Tuesday night at the Commander-in-Chief's Ball, one of 10 official events marking his inauguration. He made the rounds of those celebrations with his wife, Michelle. Obama will start the first full day of his presidency with a prayer service at the National Cathedral in northwest Washington. 'In the interest of justice and at the direction of the president of the United States." that means he is going to the prison camp in Cuba to find out about terrorists.

I think this is all very important mainly that he is getting the troops out of the war. also he is trying to find out terrorists that are in Cuba by going to the prison camp. But i wonder how he can bring the troops home like how do u do that?

President Obama inaugural address was cooler, more measured and reassuring than that of other presidents. Some inaugural addresses are known for their soaring, inspirational language. Like John F. Kennedy's in 1961, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country.'' "Starting today,'' the new president said, "we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and begin the work of remaking America.'' that means that we need to start over and make America a better place.

I think this is very true to everything that Obama said. I hope everything he says happens and our country becomes a better place. but one question how we he make our economy better and help out people that are in depth?
